Policy Update – New Executive Condominiums (EC) Policies (8 May 2026)

CHANGE

Key Changes Announced:

• EC Minimum Occupation Period (MOP) extended from 5 → 10 years

• Full privatisation timeframe increases from 10 → 15 years

• Deferred Payment Scheme (DPS) removed

• First-timer quota increased from 70% to 90%

• First-timer priority period extended from 1 month to 24 months

Which EC is affected:

All EC Government Land Sales (GLS) sites with tender closing dates on or after 8 May 2026 are affected.
